D-8, Albayrak Media Group agree to deepen media cooperation
ISLAMABAD, Sep 30 (APP): Secretary General of the Developing Eight (D-8) Organization for Economic Cooperation Ambassador Sohail Mahmood held a meeting with General Manager of Albayrak Media Group Ömer Karaca and senior executives of the group to explore ways to deepen cooperation and enhance international awareness of D-8’s role in regional economic cooperation.
During the meeting, Ambassador Sohail Mahmood briefed the Albayrak Media Group leadership on the founding vision, mission, core priorities, current trajectory and future outlook of the D-8 organization, according to a post shared by him on his official X handle.
The two sides agreed on a range of media initiatives aimed at increasing international awareness and visibility of D-8’s contributions towards regional economic cooperation and integration.
Ambassador Sohail Mahmood highlighted that the 30th anniversary of the D-8 organization in 2027 and the upcoming 12th D-8 Summit in Indonesia would provide important opportunities to enhance awareness about the organization’s work and achievements.
The Secretary General also appreciated the Albayrak Media Group for hosting the meeting and providing a detailed tour of its digital and print media facilities.
