ISLAMABAD, Aug 04 (APP):Students from the 18th batch of Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST) have successfully completed a two-week internship programme with Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), gaining practical exposure to traffic management, road safety and traffic laws.
An ITP official told APP on Tuesday that the internship programme was designed to provide students with practical knowledge of traffic policing and familiarize them with the functioning of different wings of Islamabad Traffic Police.

During the two-week programme, the students received briefings on traffic management, road safety, traffic laws and regulations, besides learning about the responsibilities and operations of various ITP departments.
The official said the initiative was aimed at promoting road-safety awareness among young people and helping students understand the role of traffic police in ensuring safe and orderly movement on the capital’s roads.

At the conclusion of the programme, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Kainat Azhar Khan distributed certificates among the successful students and extended her best wishes for their future endeavours.
She encouraged the students to play an active role in promoting road safety, responsible driving and respect for traffic laws in society.
