ISLAMABAD, Jun 21 (APP): Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan is personally supervising traffic arrangements across the federal capital to ensure smooth traffic flow during Muharram-ul-Haram processions and religious gatherings.
An ITP official told APP on Sunday that Islamabad Traffic Police had deployed officers at key locations around Imambargahs and procession routes to facilitate mourners and maintain uninterrupted traffic movement.
CTO Kainat was continuously monitoring traffic management measures and had directed officers to remain vigilant and ensure effective implementation of the traffic plan.
According to the official, special traffic arrangements have been put in place around Majalis and procession routes to minimize inconvenience to road users and ensure smooth vehicular movement.
The official said traffic personnel were actively guiding commuters towards alternate routes and designated parking areas while monitoring traffic flow in sensitive locations.
Citizens participating in Majalis and processions were requested to park their vehicles only in designated parking areas and cooperate with traffic police personnel to help maintain smooth traffic flow.
The official said that Islamabad Traffic Police remained committed to facilitating mourners and commuters and ensuring safe and orderly traffic movement during Muharram-ul-Haram.
Citizens may obtain traffic updates and guidance through Islamabad Traffic Police social media platforms and FM 92.4, the official added.
