Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan on Thursday moved against unauthorised U-turns on different roads of the federal capital, getting self-made and illegal openings closed under her supervision and ordering strict action against motorists using them.

An ITP official told APP that during visits to different roads, the CTO Kainat inspected traffic arrangements and met traffic officers deployed on duty, said a press release.

Kainat identified unauthorised U-turns created at different points and directed that they be closed immediately to discourage unsafe road practices and improve traffic discipline.
She also directed traffic officers to take strict legal action against motorists using illegal U-turns or violating other traffic laws.
The CTO Kainat instructed field officers to maintain close watch on such points and prevent motorists from creating or using unauthorised openings.
She stressed effective enforcement of traffic laws to improve road safety and ensure smooth traffic flow across the federal capital.
Kainat also directed traffic personnel to remain vigilant on their respective duty points and take timely measures against violations that could disrupt traffic flow or put road users at risk.
