ISLAMABAD, July 21 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain Thursday said that the improved law and order situation in the country consequent to Zarb e Azb and Karachi operations, the CPEC project would attract huge investment and lead the country towards progress and economic stability.

Talking to a delegation of Pak US Business Forum led by Hafeez Khan, CEO, Tweaker Energy Drinks, President Mamnoon Hussain said that overall law and order situation throughout the country was fast

improving, according to a President House statement.
He said Zarb e Azb and Karachi operations would continue till
elimination of the last terrorist and complete restoration of peace.

The president expressed his satisfaction that due to better
conditions, the foreign investors were coming to Pakistan to explore avenues for investment.

He said that the higher rate of return, investor friendly laws
and peace in the country would induce the foreign investors to invest their capital in Pakistan.

President Mamnoon said that the country was now destined to tread the path of development and prosperity and its economy would grow stronger in future.

He remarked that economy has now taken precedence over
politics and the international organizations had appreciated
Pakistan’s economic policies and the pace of development.

The president further said that Pakistan’s inclusion in the
category of emerging markets was a testimony to the international community’s faith in the policies of the government and potential of economic growth in Pakistan.

He termed CPEC as a flagship project of the century which
would open up new avenues for investment and developments and create job opportunities.

He said that some of the countries of Central Asia had
realized the importance of CPEC and have expressed their keenness for connectivity with it.

The president underscored the need for complete eradication of corruption and embezzlement in funds for attaining a glorious future. He stressed for judicious use of public funds to spur development and provide maximum relief to the people.

Hafeez Khan, Leader of Pak US Business Forum said that the
expatriate Pakistanis were very happy at the improved law and order and economic situation in the country and were keen to invest in the country by availing the opportunities created by projects under CPEC.

Acting Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi also
attended the meeting.
