ISLAMABAD, Nov 17 (APP): The District & Sessions Court of Islamabad on Monday postponed the hearing of a case involving two individuals accused over a disputed tweet, setting November 19 as the next date.
The judge directed both sides to appear fully prepared for recording evidence and cross-examination.
On today’s hearing, Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka adjourned the proceedings against Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha until November 19. The case relates to an FIR registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
During the hearing, Mazari submitted a fresh power of attorney. Her lawyer requested additional time, stating that he needed to prepare for the case.
Judge Majoka responded that the court would record evidence and conduct cross-examination at the next hearing, directing all parties to be ready.
The court then closed the day’s proceedings and fixed November 19 for further hearings in the ongoing case filed by the NCCIA against both accused.
