Court rejects bail plea in case involving fake PM Office & Interior Ministry documents

The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Friday rejected the bail application of accused Rahmat Shah in a forgery case involving the alleged use of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Interior’s names.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (APP):The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Friday rejected the bail application of accused Rahmat Shah in a forgery case involving the alleged use of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Interior’s names.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Aamir Zia announced the verdict on the bail application.
According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), documents recovered from the accused included Ministry of Interior memorandums, fake identity cards, authority letters and forged vehicle registration documents.
The FIA presented these recoveries as part of the case against Rahmat Shah, who had sought bail in the matter.
In his decision, Judge Aamir Zia observed that an accused could not claim bail as a matter of right in cases of this nature.
The judge also noted that there was no indication of any personal enmity between the complainant and the accused.
The court upheld the judicial magistrate’s earlier decision to reject the bail application, dismissing Rahmat Shah’s plea for relief.
The case concerns alleged forgery involving the names of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Interior. The documents cited by the FIA include official memorandums, identity cards, authority letters and vehicle registration records.
With the latest ruling, the sessions court maintained the lower court’s decision to deny bail to the accused.
The court’s order was issued by Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Aamir Zia after hearing the bail matter.
