LAHORE, Jan 08 (APP):An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday recorded statements of six prosecution witnesses in the case pertaining to the burning of police vehicles near Jinnah House during the May 9 incident.
ATC Administrative Judge Manzer Ali Gill conducted the trial proceedings at Kot Lakhpat Jail.
After recording the testimonies, the court adjourned further hearing of the case until January 10.
Attendance of the accused was completed at Kot Lakhpat Jail. Those currently in custody include senior PTI leaders Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Omar Sarfraz Cheema, Ijaz Chaudhry and Mian Mahmoodur Rashid, along with other accused.
Advocates Rana Mudassir Umar and Mian Ali Ammar appeared on behalf of the accused.
It is pertinent to mention here that statements of four eyewitnesses and the investigating officer are still to be recorded. The trial in this case is nearing completion.
