ISLAMABAD, Mar 03 (APP): A lower court on Tuesday issued written decision for the pre-arrest bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) founders in six cases and Bushra Bibi in one case.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka issued written decisions.
The decisions said that bail for PTI founder and Bushra Bibi is granted in the Toshakhana fake receipts case, stating that the prosecution could not present any evidence against PTI founders and Bushra Bibi.
The order said that the prosecution informed that they saw the receipt on social media. The prosecution has not even conducted a forensic examination of the receipt till date, it noted.
The court said that the prosecutor has not provided evidence that PTI founder and Bushra Bibi submitted fake receipts to the Election Commission of Pakistan or Cabinet Division.
It added that bail is also granted in the case of making allegations against senior figures of PTI founder. The Prosecution did not present any evidence or speech against the state institution to the court.
It added that the prosecution could not present any evidence to prove that the PTI founder incited the rebellion, the verdict said.
The prosecution could not present any evidence in the May 9 protest, attempted murder cases either.
It said that in the protest cases, the presence of the PTI founder at the scene of the incident is not proven.
The prosecution could not present any evidence to prove that the protests were at the behest of the PTI founder, the court wrote.
The court granted the PTI founder bails in exchange for bonds of Rs 50,000 each.
There were six cases registered against the PTI founder in Kohsar Police Station, Secretariat, Karachi, among others.
