ISLAMABAD, Dec 05 (APP): A judicial magistrate in Islamabad Friday declared former adviser Shehzad Akbar a proclaimed offender and issued permanent arrest warrants after he failed to appear in a case involving statements posted on Twitter.
Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Abbas Shah issued the order after noting that Akbar had been summoned several times but did not appear.
The court stated that Akbar’s continued absence left it with no option but to issue permanent arrest warrants. The investigation report in the case has already been submitted before the court.
The case was registered against Akbar over statements he allegedly posted on Twitter. According to police records, the NCCIA filed the case in July 2025, initiating legal action over the online remarks.
