ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP):Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday issued arrest warrants against absent accused in five different cases filed against PTI leaders and workers, and adjourned the hearing of all the cases till November 17.
The cases were heard by Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra. PTI MPA Malik Liaquat Ali and Anwar Zeb Khan filed applications for exemption from attendance. Arrest warrants were issued for absent accused in case number 906 of Kohsar police station, while copies of challans were provided to the accused appearing in case number 909 of the same police station. The court directed that the accused will be indicted at the next hearing.
A hearing was also held in a case registered against PTI workers and government employees for escaping from police custody. The court adjourned further proceedings after the presence of the accused.
On the other hand, seven accused appeared in the court in case number 754 of Sangjani police station, while arrest warrants were issued against the absent accused.
It should be remembered that a total of five cases have been registered against PTI leaders and workers in Kohsar and Sangjani police stations, the next hearing of which will be held on November 17.
