ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP):The District & Sessions Court of Islamabad on Tuesday extended the pre-arrest bail of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) founder and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in several cases, including the May 9 incidents, attempted murder, and alleged fake receipts, and barred authorities from arresting them till November 25.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka heard the cases and extended the pre-arrest bail of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi. The court directed that the PTI founder be produced either in person or through a video link during the next hearing.
The court also expressed displeasure over Adiala Jail officials for failing to submit a reply to the show-cause notice and adjourned the proceedings.
Advocate Shamsa Kayani appeared before the court on behalf of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi.
Several cases are pending against the PTI founder, including those related to the May 9 violence, attempted murder, and fake receipts. Bushra Bibi is accused of submitting allegedly fake receipts in one of the cases.
