Court declares Gandapur, Umar Ayub as POs; issues permanent arrest warrants

ISLAMABAD, Feb 09 (APP): The lower court of Islamabad on Monday declared Ali Amin Gandapur and Umar Ayub as proclaimed offenders in two cases linked to the Haqeeqi Azadi March.
The court also issued permanent arrest warrants against the accused after repeated non-appearance.
Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti heard the cases.
The court noted that despite being summoned several times, Ali Amin Gandapur and Umar Ayub failed to appear before the bench.
During the previous hearing, the court had directed authorities to begin proclamation proceedings against Ali Amin Gandapur due to his continued absence. As the accused did not comply with court orders, the magistrate moved ahead with declaring them proclaimed offenders and ordered the issuance of permanent arrest warrants.
The cases relate to two FIRs registered at Bara Kahu police station against Ali Amin Gandapur and other accused in connection with the Haqeeqi Azadi March.
The court record shows that PTI founder, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Zartaj Gul, and several other individuals named in the cases have already been acquitted in both matters.
The proceedings against Ali Amin Gandapur and Umar Ayub will continue until their arrest and production before the court.
