ISLAMABAD, Jul 24 (APP):An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Thursday discharged 11 PTI workers in a case registered with regard to violent protest near Sangjani.
ATC Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulkarnain heard the case against the accused.During the hearing, 11 PTI workers were presented in the court after completing their 4-day physical remand.
PTI lawyers took the position that there was no progress despite the ten-day remand. The sentences were issued only for this case. Judge Abual Hasanat Zulqarnain asked that what investigation has the police conducted so far? I don’t understand what the police and IG Islamabad doing, he said.
The court said that it is discharging all the workers from the case and subsequently issued order. The relevant PTI workers have also been sentenced to 6 months imprisonment each.
