ISLAMABAD, Sep 8 (APP):Pakistan on Sunday while rejecting the Indian attempts to portray a totally false impression of normalcy in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K) said the territory yet continued to be the largest prison in the world with the heaviest deployment of Indian occupation forces.

In a statement, the Foreign Office Spokesperson rejected the statements made by the Indian National Security Advisor in his recent briefing and said that despite Indian claims of normalcy, the curfew continued there.

“Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir continues to be the largest prison in the world with the heaviest deployment of Indian occupation forces since the coercive, unilateral and illegal Indian actions of 5 August 2019 aimed at altering the internationally recognized disputed status of IOJ&K and changing its demographic structure to preempt the results of a UN plebiscite,” the spokesperson said.

He said the Kashmiri leaders, especially Hurriyat leadership remained under house arrest or imprisoned.

International media and credible human rights organizations continued to highlight the humanitarian nightmare including arbitrary arrests of innocent Kashmiris, kidnapping of hundreds of young boys by Indian occupation forces to coerce their parents into submission.
