Conspiracies being hatched against NAB chief

RAWALPINDI, May 27 (APP):Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed Monday said corrupt politicians who plundered the national exchequer were hatching conspiracies against the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman.

Addressing Iftar Dinner hosted in his honor at New Katarian, the Railways minister said the corrupt elements wanted the removal of NAB chairman so that they could not be exposed before the masses.

About the leaked audio and video tapes, the minister said: “Leave the audio and videos aside, focus on the corrupt elements.”

The minister said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan was and PTI would fulfill the promises made with the nation.

Sheikh Rashid made it clear that Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) were responsible for inflation in the country.

Responding to a question, he said the opposition’s drama after Eid ul Fitr would be flopped and it would create no problem for Imran Khan led-government.

Criticising former president Asif Ali Zardari, he said the PPP co-chairman also wanted to get rid of corruption cases.

He said due to lack of health facilities, AIDS cases had surfaced in Larkana.

Sheikh Rashid pointed out that there was corruption in Pakistan Railways, but now it was on track and made a profitable entity.

He informed that 10,000 jobs in Pakistan Railway would be filled through balloting to clear a backlog created due to unemployment over the years.

Counting the mega development projects initiated in Rawalpindi, the minister said the mother and child hospital, an advanced health facility equipped with latest gadgets along with 400 beds, were in progress and would be completed soon.
