ISLAMABAD, Jan 28 (APP):Federal Minister for Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, on Wednesday underscored the compassionate behaviour by health care providers is key for patients recovery, noting that allied health staff and nurses, who spend the most time with patients, play important  role in the healing process.
While speaking at an event held here at the Sultana Foundation, the Minister stressed that treating patients well, speaking gently, and showing respect costs nothing but leaves a lasting and powerful impact on recovery outcomes.
“The health field is not just a job. It  is a service and a mission,” he emphasized.
Real healthcare is not limited to treat patients in hospitals, he said, adding it involves preventing disease, providing awareness, and encouraging precautionary measures.
He underscored that provision of health is not solely a government duty, declaring, its a shared responsibility for every person and every sector.
“Achieving public health goals requires a collective societal effort,” he added.
He also drew attention to the fact that nearly 68 percent of diseases in Pakistan arise from contaminated water, emphasizing that clean drinking water, public awareness, and collective efforts are key to prevention.
