ISLAMABAD, Jun 29 (APP): Chairman Board of Investment (BOI) Miftah
Ismail Wednesday said a Parliamentary committee has been constituted for appointment of members Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and it would complete its task within stipulated time.

Talking to a private TV channel, he said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would also consult with opposition leader Syed Khursheed Shah in this regard.

He said the government was in negotiation with the opposition on matter of Term of Reference (ToR) but they were insisting persons specific ToRs.

Miftah Ismail said that opposition is afraid of popularity of Pakistan
Muslim League-Nawaz leadership and its performance that is why they are trying to drag its leadership into this issue.

He said that the opposition has started legal fight against the
government and now they have no logic to come on roads for agitation.
He said it is astonishing that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is talking
about corruption although everybody knows about their siphoning off billions from national exchequer.

To another question, he said there was not a single case of corruption
against incumbent government during last three years and added, the PML-N government ensured transparency in its all projects and reports of Transparency International and other reputed organizations are its evidence.

He said the PML-N government made efforts to reduce poverty in the
country and launched China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project which is a great achievement.

He said due to efforts of the present government, power load-shedding
had decreased as he hoped that it would be ended by 2018.
