LAHORE, Oct 25 (APP):Commissioner Lahore Division Marryam Khan on Saturday visited various city areas to review ongoing road patchwork, pothole repairs, and zebra crossing markings near schools.
During her inspection of Davis Road, Station, Lorry Adda, Taxali, and Data Darbar areas, the Commissioner was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza, Chief Officer MCL Shahid Kathia, and other relevant officers.
Commissioner Marryam Khan directed the Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (TEPA) to ensure that all zebra crossing paintwork meets high-quality standards and is completed during non-peak hours to avoid traffic disruption. She emphasized that zebra crossings and signboards in front of schools must be completed promptly to ensure safe movement of students and parents. She further instructed that all potholes on or near city roads be repaired at the earliest possible time. “Road repair and maintenance are continuous features, and field teams must remain active at all times,” she said, adding that all rehabilitation and development projects in Lahore Division must be completed within assigned timelines and deadlines.
Commissioner Marryam Khan said that the ongoing road patching and maintenance work extends across the entire Lahore Division and is being executed in well-defined phases.
