RAWALPINDI, Sep 26 (APP):Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Wednesday visited North Waziristan District
(NWD) where he was briefed on the security situation, border management, progress of development works and rehabilitation of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) in the district.
Expressing his satisfaction, the COAS directed for continued focus on stability operations and
socio-economic development for achieving enduring peace, said a press release issued here by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
While interacting with troops, he commended officers and men for their courage, dedication and spirit
of sacrifice saying, “We shall never allow the reign of terror to return.”
It was time for Waziristan and other new districts to flourish and progress, he added.
