CM Khatak directs to expedite work on Zamung Kor project

PESHAWAR, Oct 25 (APP): Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez khattak
on Sunday directed the relevant authorities to expedite work on Zamung Kor, home for street children, project so as to open it for the children by the end of November 2015.
He also ordered the police department to vacate 36 residential flats of
Nassapa Housing Colony being used by the police officials and also handover the police rest house Nathiagali to the Tourism Corporation for commercial use like other 14 rest houses.
Chairing a meeting held here at CM Secretariat to review progress on
Zamung Kor project the Chief Minister issued directives to the P&D, C&W, Social Welfare and Housing departments to remove impediments surfaced in smooth execution of the project and take all necessary measures to ensure its early completion.
He also directed to acquire the additional piece of land adjacent to
Nassapa flats for sports purpose of the children home.
The Chief Minister directed the C&W department to convert the whole
colonys building into purpose build home for housing the street children that must provide all academic, boarding, sports, psychological counseling, medical and other necessary facilities for education, training and rehabilitation of such helpless children.
The meeting was attended by the Parliamentary leader for Anti
Corruption, Dr. Haider Ali, Chief Secretary, Inspector General Police, Additional Chief Secretary, Secretaries of Social Welfare and Housing departments and Chief Engineer of C&W department.
