Chinese media delegation visits APP, explores news cooperation opportunities

ISLAMABAD, Oct 18 (APP): A delegation of senior officials from various Chinese media and research organizations Saturday visited the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) to discuss prospects of media cooperation and news exchange between the two countries.

The delegation was led by Mr. Gao Anming, Editor-in-Chief of the China International Communications Group (CICG). Other members included Mr. Fan Daqi, Vice President of the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies, Ms. Liu Li and Mr. Guo Jiayue from the Department of International Cooperation and Dr. Farhat Asif and Muhammad Asif Noor from the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies (IPDS) Islamabad.

The delegation was received by APP officials including Director News (English News Service) *Shumaila Andleeb, Director Diplomatic Affairs, Ali Raza Alvi, and Director Urdu News Service Abdul Hameed Tabassum.
On the occasion, Shumaila Andleeb presented a bouquet and a souvenir to Mr. Gao Anming as a gesture of goodwill.

Director Diplomatic Affairs Ali Raza Alvi also presented a souvenir to the delegation and expressed profound regards on behalf of Managing Director APP Muhammad Asim Khichi.

The visitors toured different news sections of APP, where they were briefed about the agency’s news operations and digital services. They also visited APP’s studio facility and appreciated the professional setup.

During the meeting, Mr. Gao Anming and APP officials discussed areas of mutual interest and explored possibilities for collaboration, including a potential news exchange agreement between APP and CICG.
