LAHORE, Oct 9 (APP): A delegation of Chinese investors met Punjab Chief  Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and expressed keen interest in investment in the industrial sector of Punjab.

Chinese investors showed willingness in setting up of a
state-of-the-art industrial zone in Punjab and said that they want to develop a big industrial zone in Punjab, which include establishment of various industries.

Talking to the Chinese delegation, the chief minister said that
Pak-China relations had converted into useful economic cooperation after China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

He said the CPEC had opened new chapters of Pak-China friendship.

China  was investing 46 billion dollars in Pakistan under the CPEC and Chinese investment would increase with the passage of time, he added.

He said that there were vast opportunities of investment in Punjab and  the Punjab government had provided a conducive atmosphere for the promotion of investment.

Shehbaz Sharif said that all out facilities and incentives were being  provided to Chinese investors in connection with investment.

He welcomed the decision of Chinese investors regarding setting up of  industrial zone and said that all possible facilities would be provided to Chinese investors in this regard.

Sun Tao, head of a renowned Chinese group was leading the delegation.

Chinese Counsel General Yu Borne, Provincial Minister for Industries  Ch. Muhammad Shafiq, Chairman Planning & Development Jehanzeb Khan, Haroon Shaukat of Punjab Investment Board, Secretary Industries and Chairman PEDMIC were also present on the occasion.
