China Window marks Mid-Autumn festival with message of friendship

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Adviser for Industries Dr.Muhammad Irshad has welcomed China Window’s proposal to collaborate with the Industries Department to promote technical education and skills development, saying practical training aligned with industry needs can expand employment and self-employment opportunities for young people.

PESHAWAR, Oct 17 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Adviser for Industries Dr.Muhammad Irshad has welcomed China Window’s proposal to collaborate with the Industries Department to promote technical education and skills development, saying practical training aligned with industry needs can expand employment and self-employment opportunities for young people.

Addressing a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration organised by China Window Peshawar as chief guest, he said the proposal could be developed into a workable initiative through consultation with the relevant institutions.
People from various walks of life attended the event.

The adviser said young people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa possessed considerable talent and a strong work ethic but needed access to practical training that reflected the requirements of industry. Skills in operating and maintaining modern machinery, manufacturing quality products and using technology could improve their economic prospects while providing industries with a trained workforce.

Dr Muhammad Irshad said benefiting from China’s industrial experience would require an assessment of local needs, existing training facilities and areas for improvement.

China Window could contribute through Chinese language education, cultural awareness and links with relevant Chinese institutions.

He proposed preparing a clear cooperation plan identifying priority skills, participating institutions, training duration and criteria for selecting trainees. Local industries should also be consulted to explore opportunities for practical experience and employment after training, he added.

The adviser expressed his desire to take discussions forward with the Industries Department and relevant technical training institutions.

Describing Pakistan–China friendship as a source of pride for both nations, he said people-to-people exchanges, language learning and educational and business cooperation strengthened bilateral relations. He praised China Window’s work, saying the trust built through cultural interaction could provide a strong foundation for technical and industrial cooperation.
Referring to the Mid-Autumn Festival, he said its traditions of family reunion, gratitude and sharing happiness reflected human values cherished in both Pakistan and China.

Earlier, China Window Administrator Amjad Aziz Malik said the centre was promoting people-to-people ties through free Chinese language classes and cultural and educational activities.

He expressed China Window’s willingness to work with the Industries Department on technical training for young people, adding that Chinese language proficiency combined with vocational skills could help them benefit from industrial cooperation and employment opportunities.
