China assures support to Pakistan for peace, stability in region

ISLAMABAD, Mar 6 (APP):Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Kong Xuanyou Wednesday said Pakistan and China are close friends and reiterated China’s support to Pakistan for peace and stability in the region.

The Chinese Vice Foreign Minister said this during his two-day visit to Pakistan on March 5-6, said a press release issued here.

He also called on Pakistan leadership including the Prime Minister, the Chief of Army Staff and the Foreign Minister. He also held talks with the Foreign Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and acknowledged Pakistan’s measures against terrorism. 

Both Pakistan and China reaffirmed their time-tested and all weather strategic cooperative partnership. Pakistan thanked China for its steadfast support. Vice Foreign Minister was also briefed on Pakistan’s efforts to resolve all issues with India through dialogue.

Both sides noted with satisfaction the strong bonds in their bilateral relations and agreed to further enhance cooperation and coordination at all levels.
