Chief Minister’s rural roads programme phase 2 kicks off

MULTAN,Nov 18 (APP)-The development work on second phase of Punjab Chief Minister rural road programme has started from November 15 for the rehabilitation of 14 rural roads of
Multan division under this programme.
SE Highways Khawar Bhutta told APP here on Wednesday that the rehabilitation work on 14 rural roads of Multan division has started adding that about Rs 1800 million would be spent
on these roads.He said that 10 roads would be rehabilitated while four roads would be constructed anew under this programme and the project would be completed within six months, Bhutta added.The total length of the 14 roads was 185 kilometre in which 156 KM length of ‘rehabilitated roads’ were included,alongwith 29 KM length of four new roadsd.
Khawar said that the district coordination committee (DCC) had selected the schemes after consultation with local parliamentarians.
