HYDERABAD, Dec 3 (APP): Chehalum on supreme sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his 72 companions in Karbala was observed here on Thursday with religious reverence and sanctity.
Mourning processions were taken out while Majalis-e-Aza held in different parts of the district where Ulema highlighted the tragedy of Karbala and its impact.The main mourning procession was brought out from Qadamgah Moula Ali after Zuhar prayers under the banner of Anjuman-e-Haideri which after marching on its traditional routes of Station Road, Lajpat Road, Risala Road, Saddar, Bohri Bazaar and Al-Raheem Road terminated at Karbal Dadan Shah before Maghrib prayers in peacefully.
Strict security arrangements were made by the district administration
in order to avert any untoward incident during the passage of the procession.
The procession was escorted by the volunteers, Scouts,
Police and Rangers while all streets and roads, connecting with the routes of mourning procession were sealed with barbwires and deployment of the personal of Police and Rangers.
