Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Establishment Division, Ahad Khan Cheema on Wednesday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic deaths of newborn babies in a fire incident at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

ISLAMABAD, Aug 26 (APP): Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Establishment Division, Ahad Khan Cheema on Wednesday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic deaths of newborn babies in a fire incident at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

In a statement, the minister said, the loss of innocent newborn lives in the fire was extremely heartbreaking and tragic.

He expressed heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families, praying to Allah Almighty to grant the parents and families of the deceased children patience and strength to bear the irreparable loss.

Cheema stressed the need to thoroughly determine the causes of such tragic incidents and bring all facts to light.

He said a committee had already been constituted on the Prime Minister’s directives to investigate the incident and determine responsibility.

“The committee will soon identify those responsible, and anyone found guilty of negligence will be punished,” he said.
