PM stresses for more parliamentary exchanges between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD, Apr 25 (APP):Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday underscored the importance of parliamentary exchanges between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, for greater understanding of each other’s legislative systems.
He noted with satisfaction the recent developments in Pakistan-Saudi relations, particularly the landmark visit of Saudi Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman in February this year.
The prime minister was talking to Dr. Abdullah Mohammad Ibrahim Al Sheikh, Chairman Saudi Shura Council and members of his delegation in his office. The delegation is on a 3-day visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Chairman Senate.  
Welcoming the Chairman and his delegation, the Prime Minister greatly
appreciated visionary leadership and resolve of Saudi Crown Prince to put
Saudi Arabia on the path of modernization.
He also expressed the hope for an early release of Pakistani prisoners in
Saudi Arabia, as promised by the Crown Prince during his visit.
Prime Minister Imran Khan reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace and
security of the Kingdom and sanctity of Harmain Sharifain.
He conveyed his best wishes to King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and Crown
Prince Mohammad Bin Salman.
Dr. Abdullah Mohammad Ibrahim Al Sheikh conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Saudi leadership to the Prime Minister. He expressed gratitude for
the warm hospitality, extended to him and members of his delegation by the Government of Pakistan and expressed his commitment to continue working
for closer and deeper links between the parliaments of the two brotherly
countries.
