ISLAMABAD, Nov 05 (APP):The Capital Development Authority (CDA), in collaboration with the District Administration, has intensified its anti-encroachment operations in Golra Mor and Sector I-14, covering all four sub-sectors of the area.
According to a written reply submitted by the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control in the National Assembly, enforcement teams have so far removed 35 unauthorized shops established along the Golra Mor Road alignment and demolished 74 illegal structures of various types in Sector I-14.
Follow-up measures are being taken to prevent re-encroachments in the area.
The civic agency has also restored non-functional streetlights in Sector I-14 that had developed underground faults during the recent monsoon season, ensuring that all street and road lights in the area are now fully operational.
The CDA has initiated two major development projects for the sector. The first involves the rehabilitation and carpeting of 50-foot and 70-foot-wide streets and roads, which are currently awaiting technical sanction.
The second project—rehabilitation and carpeting of 20-foot, 30-foot, and 40-foot-wide streets—is in the process of obtaining principal approval.
Both development projects will commence once all codal formalities are completed and funds are made available.
