CDA chief takes charge, seeks timely completion of projects

ISLAMABAD, Apr 06 (APP): Sohail Ashraf on Monday assumed charge as chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and chief commissioner Islamabad, and directed officials to ensure timely completion of development projects and improved service delivery in the capital.
During his introductory meetings with board members and senior officers, the new chairman was briefed on the authority’s overall performance, administrative structure and progress on ongoing projects, including infrastructure development and public service initiatives.
Officials shared updates on key sectors under their supervision, outlining current challenges and areas requiring administrative attention.
Ashraf stressed that all development schemes should be completed within stipulated timelines so that citizens could benefit from improved facilities at the earliest.
He said delays in projects would not be acceptable.
He also called for steps to improve administrative efficiency and directed officials to ensure transparency in the provision of civic amenities.
Emphasising institutional reform, the chairman said technology-driven measures would be introduced to enhance the authority’s performance and service delivery.
