CDA Chief directs to complete development projects timely

ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (APP): Chairman Capital Development
Authority (CDA), Maroof Afzal has directed to complete all ongoing
development projects, particularly those prioritized, within
given time frame, also maintaining the quality of work.
He passed these directions at a meeting held to
review the progress of ongoing priority projects in the Federal
Capital. During the meeting, Chairman CDA was briefed that the work on
Signal Free Corridor Islamabad Express Way is in full swing and its
first phase is expected to be completed by the end of December this
year, which is two months earlier than the project completion
deadline of February 2016.
He was informed that two out of four loops of I-8 interchange
has been opened for the traffic while work on the remaining two
loops is being carried out at fast pace.
While briefing about the progress of development work at Park Enclave, Chairman CDA was apprised that development work on site is being completed on war footing.
The meeting was informed that after completion of the road
infrastructure development and other facilities, street lights are
being installed at the scheme. Moreover, services of the consultant
have already been hired for provision of electricity connections
in the residential area. The meeting was informed that the process for handing over the
possession of the plots to the allotees is likely to be initiated in December this year.
Chairman CDA was informed that in line with vision of the CDA
management, work on the development of the sectors is also being
carried out at fast pace. In this connection, he was informed that all codal formalities
for initiating development work at Sector E-12 have been completed.
Tender for carrying out development in this sector have already been
floated, which will open on October 27 and development work would be
started soon after the opening of tenders.
He was apprised that development work at this sector is
expected to be completed at the earliest.
Similarly, development work at Sector, C-14, C-15 and C-16 is
being executed at the fast pace as he was apprised that after vacating
CDA land from the adverse possession, barbed wire is being erected
around the said land.
Chairman CDA was further informed that road infrastructure in
the city is also in phase of revamping and in this regard design for
the dulaization of Embassy Road, G-10 West Service Road and F-11
Service Road has been finalized and tenders would be floated soon.
The meeting was also informed that work on two parking plazas
being constructed in Markaz F-7 have almost been completed and will
soon be opened for the public. Moreover, feasibility report for
construction of similar parking plazas are also being
prepared.
