CDA chairman reviews progress on T-Chowk Flyover

ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (APP):Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, on Monday visited the T-Chowk Flyover project to review the pace and quality of ongoing construction work.
Accompanied by Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza and other concerned officers, the chairman inspected various sections of the project and was briefed on progress made so far.

Officials informed him that the project has entered its final stages ahead of the stipulated timeline and that finishing work has already begun prior to the flyover being made operational.
The briefing further stated that landscaping and horticulture work around the project is progressing rapidly, while installation of permanent decorative lighting is also underway to enhance the overall aesthetics of the area.
Randhawa was told that preparations for the formal inauguration of the project are in full swing and that the flyover will be opened to general traffic immediately after the inauguration.
Expressing satisfaction over the pace of work, the CDA chairman said the project was being completed ahead of schedule without compromising on construction quality.
He added that the T-Chowk Flyover would benefit commuters from the twin cities as well as travellers coming from Lahore and other parts of Punjab.
He said that upon completion, the project would ensure signal-free entry into the federal capital from GT Road, adding that provision of modern travel facilities and upgradation of infrastructure remained among CDA’s top priorities.
