ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP):A delegation of allottees of Sector I-12 met the Director General (Works) of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Faisal Raza Khan, at his office on Wednesday to convey their grievances over the long-delayed possession of their plots.
The delegation comprised retired professors Khumar Gul and Tahir Mahmood, along with Aftab Ujaan, Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Waqas Ahmed, Kamran Haider, Muhammad Tabraiz, Muhammad Shahid Maqbool, Farhad Aslam Khan, Kashif Iftikhar and Sajjad Ashraf, said a press release.
The delegation informed the DG that they have been waiting for possession of their plots for over three decades, expressing frustration over the prolonged delay despite repeated assurances from the authority.
During the meeting, the allottees inquired about the latest progress on development work, including the construction of roads and the provision of electricity and sewerage facilities.
Responding to their concerns, DG Works Faisal Raza Khan said that the development work in Sector I-12 was being carried out on a fast pace under the directives of CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
“We have also started work on University Road, which serves as the main entrance to the sector,” the DG said, assuring the delegation that possession of plots would be handed over soon as development work progresses.
Professor Khumar Gul, who led the delegation, expressed gratitude to the CDA Chairman, the DG Works and other officials for paying attention to the long-neglected sector.
“We, the allottees, are thankful to the CDA authorities for finally focusing on the development of Sector I-12,” he remarked.
The delegation thanked the DG Works for sparing his valuable time to listen to their concerns and hoped that their long-awaited dream of getting possession of their plots would soon be realized.
