In a significant political development ahead of the upcoming General Elections in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), prominent political figures called on President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Abdul Aleem Khan and formally announced their decision to join the party.
Candidates from LA-8 &LA-10 joined IPP

ISLAMABAD, Jul 01 (APP): In a significant political development ahead of the upcoming General Elections in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), prominent political figures called on President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Abdul Aleem Khan and formally announced their decision to join the party.

Malik Zulfiqar Ali, candidate from LA-8 Kotli and Malik Muhammad Yousaf the Pakistan Peoples Party candidate from LA-10 Kotli City joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party during a meeting with Abdul Aleem Khan, said a press release issued on Wednesday.
Welcoming the new members, Abdul Aleem Khan said the IPP is committed to addressing the longstanding challenges facing Azad Jammu & Kashmir through sustainable and practical solutions. He emphasized that improved infrastructure and development initiatives would create greater employment opportunities and help eliminate the sense of deprivation among the people of the region.
He further stated that the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party will actively and vigorously participate in the upcoming AJK elections. On the occasion, Abdul Aleem Khan presented the party flag to the newly inducted members as a symbol of their inclusion in the party. IPP’s Member of the National Assembly Aun Chaudhry was also present at the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik Zulfiqar Ali and Malik Muhammad Yousaf said they were beginning a new political journey with the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party and expressed their complete confidence in the leadership of Abdul Aleem Khan.
The meeting was also attended by former local government leaders Malik Muhammad Ilyas, Chaudhry Ameer Qabil, and Malik Nizam Iqbal Minhas. Other members of the delegation included Malik Muhammad Mushtaq, Malik Sarmad Ali, Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, Advocate Majid Malik, and Malik Khalid Mahmood.
Former President of the Azad Kashmir Teachers’ Association, Hafiz Kazim Malik, also met with Abdul Aleem Khan and announced his decision to join the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party along with his colleagues.
