Canadian MP Randeep Sarai meets Pakistani envoy in Ottawa

ISLAMABAD, Nov 29 (APP): The Government of Pakistan had ensured that the Sikh Pilgrims from across the world could visit their sacred places including Nankana Sahib and Panja Sahib without any restriction.

This was stated by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada, Tariq Azim Khan during a meeting with Member of the Canadian Parliament, Randeep Sarai, who met him in Ottawa, Canada on Tuesday.

The High Commissioner briefed the MP on the latest situation in the region with special reference to Pakistan-India relations, according to a press release received here from Pakistan’s High Commission in Ottawa.

He said Pakistan had made significant efforts to restore dialogue process with India for restoring peace.

The High Commissioner further stated that there was a great potential for the Canadian companies to invest in Pakistan.

He said the Canadian companies would be facilitated in setting up their businesses in the country.

The High Commissioner also informed Mr. Sarai that minorities in Pakistan were safe, secure and prospering.

Randeep Sarai thanked the High Commissioner for his briefing and agreed that both Pakistan and India should work together for ensuring peace in the region and resolution of disputes through dialogue.

The High Commissioner presented Parshad distributed on the birthday of Guru Nanak at Nankana Sahib to the Member of the Parliament.
