Calligraphy exhibition organized to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)
RAWALPINDI, Aug 24 (APP):The Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi organized a calligraphy exhibition in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Chairman Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) Raja Muhammad Hanif was the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, he said the life and teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) provide timeless guidance for humanity, while Islamic calligraphy is a beautiful expression of faith, devotion and the rich artistic heritage of the Muslim world.
He appreciated the Council for organizing the exhibition and lauded the artistic efforts behind the display.
The exhibition featured a collection of calligraphic artworks by senior artist Azeem Iqbal, comprising Quranic verses, sacred names and Islamic and devotional compositions rendered in intricate and aesthetically refined calligraphy. The artworks attracted considerable interest from visitors, who appreciated the artist’s craftsmanship and the spiritual and artistic beauty of the exhibition.
Director Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi Muhammad Shakoor thanked the chief guest, distinguished guests, artist and visitors for their participation. He said such exhibitions during Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) provide an opportunity to connect audiences, particularly the younger generation, with Islamic art, culture and the message of devotion and reverence for the Holy Prophet (SAW)
