ISLAMABAD, May 02 (APP):Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan on Thursday informed the National Assembly that a summary of Rs. 500 million to provide hearing aids to 300 hearing impaired children in CDA hospital would be approved soon.

Responding to a calling attention notice regarding non-availability of funds to provide hearing aids to 300 children in CDA hospital, he said, Prime Minister Imran Khan has great desire to provide medical assistance to all such children at one window.

He said Rs 500 million had been allocated for few months while more handsome amount would be earmarked in the next budget. The minister said Prime Minister wanted that platform of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal should be used to provide medical assistance to all these children.

He assured the House that he would again take up the issue in the cabinet for earlier approval of the Rs 500 million summary keeping in view the sensitivity of the issue.

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser asked the minister to call a meeting in his chamber to solve the issue on urgent basis. “I will chair the meeting to address the issue at earliest” he added.
