ISLAMABAD, May 30 (APP):The resumption of British Airways flight operation to Pakistan was an endorsement of Britain’s confidence in Pakistan and its government. Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting stated this in a meeting with British High Commissioner Thomas Drew to Pakistan who called on her here Thursday.
She said that Pakistan enjoyed cordial relations with Britain as both share common values of democracy and pluralism. Special Assistant to Prime Minister called for strengthening cooperation in the field of media and information as media was one of the effective tools to promote people to people contacts among nations.
Both sides agreed to further strengthen existing cooperation in the field of media and communication besides putting emphasis on boosting joint efforts to counter extremism and terrorism.
SAPM also highlighted PTI government’s socio-economic reforms agenda, saying, “We are determined to bring real change in the society as envisioned by Prime Minister Imran Khan.”
