ISLAMABAD, Apr 03 (APP):Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Rubina Khalid paid rich tribute to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on his death anniversary, describing his martyrdom as a tragic chapter in the country’s history.

In her message, Senator Rubina Khalid said that Bhutto was separated from the nation through judicial injustice, adding that his contributions to Pakistan remain unparalleled.
She highlighted that Bhutto laid the foundation of a unanimous Constitution, a strong democratic framework, defence stability, and the country’s nuclear programme.
She further stated that Bhutto introduced significant political and constitutional reforms that empowered the people with awareness and rights. His foreign policy, she added, gave Pakistan a strong and independent identity on the global stage.
The BISP Chairperson noted that Bhutto always struggled for the rights of the poor and middle classes and upheld the supremacy of democracy.
She said his philosophy continues to serve as the cornerstone of the politics and public service of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
Rubina Khalid emphasized that the Benazir Income Support Programme is a continuation of Bhutto’s vision of public welfare and reiterated the commitment to carrying forward his mission and strengthening democratic continuity in the country.
