Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, has urged all beneficiaries to obtain their free mobile SIMs before June 15 to avoid any disruption in the payment process, during her visit to the BISP Zonal Office Skardu on Monday.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 01 (APP): Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, has urged all beneficiaries to obtain their free mobile SIMs before June 15 to avoid any disruption in the payment process, during her visit to the BISP Zonal Office Skardu on Monday.
During the visit, she met women beneficiaries, listened to their concerns, and assured them that their issues would be resolved on a priority basis. She also inspected various sections of the office and reviewed challenges faced by women in receiving their stipends.

Speaking to beneficiaries, Senator Rubina Khalid stated that the payment system is being transitioned to Digital Wallets in line with the directives of the President of Pakistan and the vision of the Prime Minister, aimed at enhancing transparency, convenience, and financial inclusion.

She informed that free mobile SIMs are being provided to eligible women to enable them to open digital accounts and receive future payments directly.
She added that under the new system, women will be able to withdraw payments from any nearby bank facilitation center, said a news release.

Senator Rubina Khalid said that BISP is named after Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, who made great sacrifices for public rights and women’s empowerment.
She added that BISP is introducing modern and efficient systems to ensure dignified, secure, and transparent financial assistance to women beneficiaries.
