ISLAMABAD, May 28 (APP):BillionTree Tsunami has become first entity in the world which met its all targets with regard to restoration and expansion of forests.
Talking to APP, Secretary Forest KPK Syed Nazar Hussain said Billion Tree Tsunami project Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also created many jobs and supported the economy.
Adding that BillionTree Tsunami is an amazing success story and New Zealand is also taking lessons from Pakistan’s afforestation efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to implement that in their plantation initiatives.
He said everyone needs to participate for the success of biggest ever plantation drive to protect the environment for our future generation.
Under the project 10 billion trees would be planted across the country he added.
