Office-bearers of various Bar Associations and leaders of the legal fraternity on Thursday met Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar and discussed issues faced by lawyers, professional matters and matters concerning Bar Associations.
Bar leaders meet Law Minister to discuss issues of legal fraternity
ISLAMABAD, Aug 27 (APP): Office-bearers of various Bar Associations and leaders of the legal fraternity on Thursday met Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar and discussed issues faced by lawyers, professional matters and matters concerning Bar Associations.
The meetings also focused on promoting cooperation between the Ministry of Law and Justice and the legal community.
Those who met the Federal Minister included President High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi Syed Yousaf Khan, Secretary General Qasim Mahmood Malik, President District Bar Association Rawalpindi Tariq Mahmood Sajid Awan, President Lahore High Court Bar Association Bahawalpur Bench Samina Qureshi, Pakistan Bar Council Member Syed Qalb-e-Hassan Shah, Punjab Bar Council Member Rao Sultan Ahmad Khan, President District Bar Association Khanewal Mehr Muhammad Rafiq Malana, General Secretary Ghulam Mustafa Pahore and Mehr Afzal Malana, Advocate.
President Bar Association Kabirwala Chaudhry Azam Hussain Hanjra, General Secretary Chaudhry Waseem Tariq Pannu and former President Tehsil Bar Association Jahanian Chaudhry Saeed Iqbal Goraya also met the Minister.
The lawyers’ representatives apprised the Federal Minister of various professional issues and matters relating to Bar Associations.
Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar welcomed the representatives and stressed the importance of addressing the concerns of the legal community through effective engagement with Bar Associations.
He said the legal fraternity played an important role in ensuring effective delivery of justice and strengthening the legal system.
The Minister said the government was committed to further strengthening its engagement with lawyers and Bar Associations and promoting cooperation in the legal sector.
He added that continued interaction with the legal community would help the government better understand issues relating to the legal system and take effective measures for their resolution.
The meetings concluded with a resolve to further strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Law and Justice and the legal fraternity on professional matters and issues of mutual interest.
