ISLAMABAD, Jun 12 (APP):Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance, Dr Abdul Hafez Sheikh Wednesday said that
in order to facilitate taxpayers to get their tax refunds on time, the government was mulling over adopting Bangladesh and China model.
He was addressing a post-budget press conference, flanked by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Khusro Bakhtiar, Minister for Power Omar Ayub Khan, Minister of State for Revenue Hammad Azhar, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Syed Shabbar Zaidi.
He said “no doubt there are issues in the tax refunds system and there is lot of room to improve the system and we are doing this”.
