Balochistan Government working on policy for socio-economic prosperity of youth: Meena Majeed

QUETTA, Jan 28 (APP):Provincial Adviser on Sports and Youth Affairs Meena Majeed Wednesday said that the government of Balochistan under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti is working on a youth policy for the socio-economic prosperity of the youth, for which important projects like the Youth Socio-Economic Development Program have been launched.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the policy dialogue on the topic of “Countering Violent Extremism”, she said that under this project, youth are being made aware to avoid baseless and negative propaganda and misinformation. In addition, a Youth Resource Center has been established for career counseling of youth.
The Home Department of the Government of Balochistan organized a three-day policy dialogue attended by
DIG CTD Aitzaz Ahmed Goraya, Chief Coordination Officer CVE Dr. Dost Muhammad Bareach, Dr. Asmatullah, Israr Ahmed Madani, Iftikhar Firdous, Fahad Nabil and other participants.
The adviser said that the youth of Balochistan are very talented, keeping in mind their capabilities, the Balochistan government is providing them with regular training and by training them, 30,000 youth are being provided with employment opportunities in other countries.
She said, “In addition, digital training will be provided to the youth and laptops will be given to them, so that they can become online workers sitting at home.”
She mentioned that in addition, football and cricket tournaments are being organized in the province, so that they could also be active in extracurricular activities.
The Adviser said that the provincial government has restored ghost schools to ensure educational facilities to the younger generation, so that no child is deprived of education.
DIG CTD Aitzaz Ahmed Goraya and other speakers, while addressing the ceremony, termed the Balochistan government’s holding of a policy dialogue on an important topic like “Countering Violent Extremism” as a good move and said that such programs should be organized in the future as well.
