BAJAUR AGENCY, Sept 29 (APP): The tribesmen, elders, maliks of Bajaur Agency renewed their pledge to fight shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan Army in case of any misadventure by Indian occupational forces on the Line of Control (LoC) in occupied Kashmir and Working Boundary on Eastern Border.

This assurance was given by the tribal elders of Bajaur Agency during a grand Jirga attended by civil and military officials besides a large number of tribesmen and maliks here at Khar, the agency headquarter  of Bajaur.The tribal people raised full throttle slogans in favour of Pak Army.

The tribal elders also vowed to continue support to security
forces and civil administration to rid the region of militancy and anti-state elements.

Pak Army Sector Commander Brigadier Amir Kiani, Commandant Bajaur scouts Col Nayyar Zaman, Political Agent Abdul Amir Khattak besides elders of various tehsils and members of different peace committees were present
on the occasion.

The Political Agent said peace and writ of the government had been fully restored in the entire agency for which security forces, tribal people and civil administration offered supreme sacrifices.

He asked the elders to keep close vigil on the activities of anti-state elements, their facilitators and report to civil administration and security forces to foil their nefarious designs.

Commandant Bajaur Scouts also urged elders to keep a close watch on entry and exit points of their respective areas and start close monitoring of roads and routes in their localities.

Speaking the jirga, Pak Army Sector Commander Brigadier Amir Kiani called upon the elders to end their personal disputes and focus on maintenance of peace and normalcy in their areas.

A number of tribal elders of different areas addressed the jirga  and assured the officials of cooperation and accelerating their activities for sustainable peace and development.
