ISLAMABAD, Jun 7 (APP): An important meeting of the Business
Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Senate was held at the Parliament
House under the Chairmanship of Mian Raza Rabbani, Chairman Senate.
The Committee, in principle, approved the operationalisation
of `Committee on Ethics’.
However, it decided to circulate the draft Code of Conduct
among members of the Senate for their input.
Members of the BAC termed operationalisation of the Ethics
Committee as need of the hour, said a press release on Tuesday.
The Committee in its today’s meeting also confirmed minutes of
the meeting of 31st May, 2016.
Secretary Senate Amjed Pervez Malik gave a detailed compliance
report regarding earlier decisions of the BAC.
The meeting was attended by Senator Raja Muhammad Zafar-ul-
Haq, Leader of the House, Senator Saleem Zia, Chief Whip, PMLN,
Senator Saeed Ghani, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Senator Mir
Hasil Khan Bizenjo, Senator Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah, Senator
Sirj-ul-Haq and Senator Dr. Jehanzeb Jamaldini.
