ISLAMABAD, Nov 04 (APP):Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Sikh community in Pakistan and across the world on the joyous occasion of the 556th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
In a message, the Speaker said that the teachings of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji embody the universal message of peace, tolerance, love and service to humanity. His message serves as a guiding light for promoting mutual respect and harmony among all religions, races, and societies.
He said that it is a matter of great pride for Pakistan to be the birthplace of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji Nankana Sahib and that the protection and upkeep of all sacred Gurdwaras associated with him are regarded as a national and spiritual responsibility.
Ayaz Sadiq said that the Parliament of Pakistan is fully committed to safeguarding the religious, social and constitutional rights of all minorities living in the country and considers the promotion of interfaith harmony and tolerance as a fundamental pillar of democratic values.
He said that on this blessed occasion, we must draw inspiration from Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s message of humanity, patience, and justice, and reaffirm our resolve to build a world that embodies peace, respect, and mutual love.
