Australia backs community-led climate solutions in rural sindh

ISLAMABAD, Aug 18 (APP):Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Timothy Kane has said that “when communities lead, climate solutions work better.”
Speaking about Australian-supported initiatives in the country, the High Commissioner highlighted ongoing research in rural Sindh aimed at helping local communities build more resilient livelihoods.
“From adapting farming practices to exploring new economic opportunities, these projects are designed with communities at the center,” Kane said.
He added that Australia remains committed to partnerships in Pakistan that “listen, learn and deliver real impact” in the face of climate challenges.
The Australian government has been supporting climate resilience and sustainable agriculture programs in Sindh to help rural populations cope with changing weather patterns and strengthen food security.
