ISLAMABAD, Aug 28 (APP):Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Division, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi has said that institutions of culture and heritage not only serve as custodians of traditions but also have a role in promoting environmental responsibility.
He expressed these views while inaugurating a tree plantation campaign at Lok Virsa on Thursday, where he planted a sapling to formally launch the drive.

Parliamentary Secretary for National Heritage and Culture, Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, Member of the National Assembly Nuzhat Sadiq, and Secretary Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani, were also present on the occasion.
A large number of female students and workers of Lok Virsa actively participated in the campaign, planting trees across the premises.

Aurangzeb Khan Khichi stressed that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility and urged the youth to play their part as “green ambassadors” by spreading awareness in their communities.
